Jibs and Light Crane Systems
Swing range can vary from 180 to 360 degrees, in accordance with the operational requirements. Jibs are easy to operate given their low deadweight, nevertheless all movements can also be motorized.
Special designs include low-headroom jibs as well as two-arm jibs and extensible or even articulated-arm jibs.
A wall travelling crane can be regarded as a peculiar type of wall-mounted jib, which travels on two runway beams fixed on one side of the building. These cranes are normally conceived to operate underneath EOT cranes and serve one or more work areas along the building hall.
