Jib Cranes

Pillar and wall-mounted jib cranes are specifically designed to serve encircled work areas, generally for lifting light loads. Our standard production covers jib cranes with a max load capacity of 2 ton and a max outreach of 8 metres, but bigger jibs are also available.

They are normally fitted with chain hoists, though wire rope hoists can also be used in case of larger load capacities. They are normally fitted with chain hoists, though wire rope hoists can also be used in case of larger load capacities.

Swing range can vary from 180 to 360 degrees, in accordance with the operational requirements. Jibs are easy to operate given their low deadweight, nevertheless all movements can also be motorized.
Special designs include low-headroom jibs as well as two-arm jibs and extensible or even articulated-arm jibs.
A wall travelling crane can be regarded as a peculiar type of wall-mounted jib, which travels on two runway beams fixed on one side of the building. These cranes are normally conceived to operate underneath EOT cranes and serve one or more work areas along the building hall.
